Founded in 2012, RiskTakers Music Group originally launched as an independent record label for artist Mayor Meez, dropping heavy-hitting releases under the Universal Music Group (UMG) umbrella. That foundation in artist development, label operations, and commercial releases built a deep understanding of what it takes to survive—and win—in the music industry.
In 2019, RiskTakers evolved into a full-scale music production and audio engineering powerhouse. Shifting focus to the board, Mayor Meez began engineering, mixing, and mastering for a diverse roster of talent, spanning raw underground acts to major-label powerhouse artists. Over the years, the studio portfolio has grown to feature credits with heavyweights like T-Rell, Lil Boosie, Lil Scrappy, Nu Life, as well as numerous signed artists across major label rosters and high-profile placements.
